The Tenth Sunday after Trinity

8 am Holy Communion (BCP)

10 am Holy Communion (Common Worship)

Hymns: 411, 332, 716, congregation communion 312 and 277,

last hymn 409

Thank you to Steve Weston for being our organist today.

Crèche available during the 10am service for children aged four and under and also parents with babies.  There are also some bags (containing books and materials for colouring) at the back of church to occupy children who wish to stay in church.  Due to the risk of trip hazards, it would be appreciated if parents/guardians would please supervise their children whilst in the crèche and tidy up upon leaving.

Stewardship/collecting plate Many members of the congregation give monthly by bankers order and do not use the collecting plate.  If you would like to do the same or use the yellow envelope system, please contact one of the sidesmen at the back of the church.

Prayer list:  The names of those who are ill or in need of prayer will remain on the prayer list for three weeks.  However, we realise that some people may need to be on for longer and, if this is the case, please speak with Carol Sharman who will be happy to arrange this.

Fancy a spot of gardening and fellowship?  Could you spare a couple of hours on Saturday, 2nd September, to help tidy up The Rectory garden, ready for an afternoon of entertainment for the children from within our church community on 17th September?  If you are able to join us that would be great – we shall start work on the garden at around 10 am.  A sign-up sheet is available at the back of church.  Further details from Jez.

Day trip to Skegness – Tuesday, 5th September, to leave from the bottom of Meeting Lane at 8.45 am.  Cost per person £13.00 – closing date for payment

29th August.  Sign-up sheet at the back of church.  Further details available from Bob Miller (725974) or see notice in porch.

Sponsored Cycle Ride.  The church annual sponsored cycle ride will take place on Sunday, 24th September leaving Grafham Water car park at 2pm.  Everyone welcome, tea provided.  This year money raised will go to Christian Aid.  See Sue for more details. Sponsor form at back of church.
