The crèche is available during the 10am service for children aged four and under and also parents with babies.  There are also some bags (containing books and materials for colouring) at the back of church to occupy children who wish to stay in church.

 

Volunteers are needed for the duties of sidesman.  Full training given.  Please see Sue Hartley for more information.

 

The Smartie challenge has raised £435.45 to date.  For those who are able to gift aid, could you please ensure that a gift aid form is attached to the tube with your name and address etc., as this enables the church to obtain an extra 25% or £3 on a Smartie tube containing £12 of coins.

 

Cream Tea at Burton Latimer Methodist church on Thursday, 14th August,

2.30-4.30pm (£3 per person).  Various stands, including cakes, cards and the Oasis bookstall.  All are welcome.

 

The 2014 Burton Latimer Garage Sale in aid of the Children’s Society will take place on Saturday, 16th August, from 10am to 4pm.  It’s not too late to book a pre-paid £5 stall (£10 on the day) – please contact Janet Kirton on 398967.

 

In conjunction with the above, the Lawson family will be holding a big mega sale at the front of the Manor House over the whole of the garage sale weekend, from 12noon to 5pm each day, 16th and 17th August.

 

20/20 Cricket Match at Burton Latimer Cricket Ground, on Sunday,
14th September, at 3pm.  St Mary’s, Burton Latimer -v- St Andrew’s, Kettering.  There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church, so if you would like to play or if you can help by bringing along a plate of sandwiches or other food item please add your name to the list.  Everyone is invited.

 

Day Trip to Windsor, Wednesday, 17th September – £12.00 per person. If you would like to be included please add your name to the list at the back of the church. Coach leaves from the end of Meeting Lane at 9am, returning from Windsor at 5pm.  Further details available from Bob Miller on 725974.

 

A date for your diary!  There will be a sponsored cycle ride in aid of Bungoma on the afternoon of Sunday, 28th September, at Grafham Water.  Tea provided.  More details nearer the time.
