Notices

The crèche is available during the 10am service for children aged four and under and also parents with babies.  There are also some bags (containing books and materials for colouring) at the back of church to occupy children who wish to stay in church.  Due to the risk of trip hazards, it would be appreciated if parents/guardians would please supervise their children whilst in the crèche and tidy up upon leaving.

Parish Visits: When visiting anyone on behalf of St. Mary’s, can we please ask that you be kind enough to let Carol Sharman know (01536725759), in order to avoid anyone being missed out.  Would you also let Carol know if you notice anyone who is not in church for a few weeks, so that we can make enquiries and, if felt appropriate, arrange a visit.  Thank you for your co-operation.

The Licensing of Revd Dr Quentin Chandler will take place on Saturday,

17th September, at 3 pm, at St Mary the Virgin, Marston Moreteyne, Bedfordshire, MK43 0NE, and Quentin would be delighted to see people from Burton Latimer at the service, which will be followed by refreshments.  Would anyone wishing to attend please sign the sheet at the back of church, as it would be helpful for the church in Marston Moreteyne to have an idea of numbers.  Quentin will be taking up the role of Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Priest in Charge of Marston Moreteyne and Lidlington.

Next Men’s Credo event is a ” Meal, Drink and Chat” on Monday, 19th September,

(7.30 pm meet) at the “new” Olde Victoria. Please text Tony on 07715291204 prior to that date to confirm your booking.

The church annual cycle ride will take place on Sunday, 25th September, in the afternoon at Grafham Water.  Tea provided.  This year we are raising money to support Yvonne, our Church Army worker.  There is a sponsor form at the back of church if you would like to support us.  Please let Sue know if you are able to join us or to find out more details.

Civic Service with Mayor Nigel Padget on Sunday, 18th September, at 2.30 pm, at the Baptist Church.  Service followed by tea in the John Yeoman’s Hall.  It would be helpful as regards numbers if those who intend to go would sign the sheet at the back of church.
